In the vibrant heart of Rotterdam metropolis, halfway Coolsingel avenue, one finds WTC Rotterdam. A special place with a rich history. An international corporate community where business men and women meet, work and do business. In 1986 a high rise was realised. An ingenious piece of work which, right through the former trade hall and on top of the roof, was build parallel at the fashionable Coolsingel. A unique building on a unique place that, in the course of further developing international trade, has always adapted itself to the unique requirements of its occupiers.
Facilitating international business to meet and do business is one of the leading objectives of WTC Rotterdam. Owner Bouwinvest formulated the ambition to renovate all 19 storeys of the high rise both cosmetic as well as in terms of health, wellbeing and sustainability. Cushman & Wakefields´ Property Transformers developed a renovation plan that made WTC best prepared to meeting the requirements of many different businesses, being flexible and able to respond swiftly to the needs of any type and any size of business. To date, four out of 19 storeys are fully renovated using top-notch materials in a top-notch workplace offering one of the best views over the city. A healthy and sustainable workplace is created through air conditioned ceilings, LED lighting, daylight control, presence detection and CO2 control.
